Visually Impaired

Drshtee’s initiatives for the visually impaired include community-led Spectacles Donation drives, curated Audio Books for learning and leisure, and Eye Care camps offering screenings and referrals for treatment. Through AI for Eye research, we explore computer vision tools for early detection of eye conditions—blending grassroots action with innovation to restore sight and independence.

  • Spectacles Donation: Community drives to fit and distribute low-cost spectacles to children and elders.
  • Audio Books: Curated audio-books for learners and leisure; volunteers can narrate or proof-listen.
  • Eye Care: Screening camps and referrals to local clinics for corrective surgery and treatment.

Hearing & Speech Impaired

Drushti’s initiatives for the hearing and speech impaired include Hearing Aid Donation drives with NGOs, supported by workshops for upkeep and care. We develop Text-to-Speech tools for accessible learning, and Speech-to-Text systems for real-time communication. Through AI for All research, we advance inclusive speech models that adapt to diverse accents, languages, and age groups.

Physically Challenged

Drushti’s initiatives for the physically challenged focus on restoring mobility and independence. Through Wheelchair Donation drives and Walking Aid support, we provide essential devices for daily living, rehabilitation, and elder care. Our Smart Assisted Technologies projects explore affordable robotics and sensor-based solutions, ensuring that innovation and compassion go hand-in-hand to empower those with mobility challenges.

Future Initiatives & Partnerships

Drshtee aims to establish global research centers in assistive technologies, partner with leading companies and universities, and scale outreach with NGOs. A planned e-commerce platform will sell affordable devices and products crafted by specially-abled individuals, with proceeds funding donation drives and sustaining long-term impact.

  • Ambition: Establish collaborative research centers for Data Science & Assisted Technologies with industry and academia.
  • Partnerships with Industry: IBM, Google, Amazon, Tesla for R&D and deployment.
  • NGO Collaboration: Partnerships with NGOs such as Apla Ghar to scale outreach.
  • University Partnerships: MIT, University of Michigan, Purdue University, Harvard, Oxford, IITD-Abu Dhabi, NYU Sharjah for research and student projects.
  • E-commerce Platform: Sell affordable assistive devices; marketplace to sell artifacts, stationery, and greeting cards prepared by specially-abled people. Proceeds fund donation drives.
